Behind the scenes

Sixteen Guest House has been under ownership of Anel Steenkamp for 13 years from 2013. She runs it on her own with 'headgirl' Makori who handles the cleaning side of things.
Calla has joined the property in 2020 and takes care of some maintenance issues and adding a little spice to engaging with guests when he is around. He has his own full time job though and also owns Kitesurf Hermanus.
During busy times, Makori is assisted by our standby lady, Annie.
As from 2024 we also have an excellent gardener, Rogers, who keeps the premises in tip top condition.

Makori has been working at Sixteen Guest House since 2012. She is a gem and reliable in every way. She does an excellent job at keeping our rooms clean and tidy.
She originates from the Eastern Cape, but currently resides in Zwelihle with her little grand daughter.

Calla

Maintenance Mcgyver

Calla has joined Sixteen on Main since 2020. He is in charge of maintenance at the property. Loves to engage with guests and can tell you all about kite surfing in Hermanus...
